About Asia Eco Farm
Carbon-negative Sacha Inchi OEM/ODM manufacturer · Singapore · Malaysia · Laos · ChinaAsia Eco Farm is a vertically integrated OEM/ODM manufacturer of certified organic Sacha Inchi oil, protein powder, and custom softgel capsules. Headquartered in Singapore, with farming and processing operations in Malaysia and Laos, we supply finished-goods-ready bulk ingredients and private label supplements to brands across the supplement, wellness, cosmetic, culinary, and pet nutrition industries worldwide.
The company was founded in Laos in 2014 by Caleb Lim, three years after the first Sacha Inchi vines were planted in the mountains of Northern Laos. What began as a partnership with a handful of hillside farming families is today a group spanning Singapore, Malaysia, Laos and China — but the founding purpose has not changed: build a crop that lifts rural incomes, and build the manufacturing capability to take it to the world.
We are not a trading company or broker. Every kilogram of Sacha Inchi we supply originates from our own certified organic farms — giving our B2B partners a shorter, more transparent supply chain than commodity sourcing alternatives, and a genuinely differentiated sustainability story they can pass on to their consumers.
Our Vision
Asia Eco Farm was built around two commitments that our founder set out from the very first planting season:
- To reduce rural poverty in Laos — by giving upland farming families a perennial cash crop, guaranteed offtake, and the training to grow it well.
- To widen access to education — supporting schooling opportunities for students from low-income families in the communities we work alongside.
Commercially, that translates into a single long-term goal: to be the leading innovator in Organic Agrotechnology across Asia — empowering developing nations and local farming communities to cultivate a sustainable future through carbon-negative agricultural practices.
Our Mission
- Pioneer organic agrotechnology solutions that are commercially viable for smallholder farmers in developing countries.
- Empower local farming communities in Malaysia and Laos through fair-trade partnerships and skills transfer.
- Promote carbon-negative farming practices — Sacha Inchi is a deep-rooting perennial that sequesters carbon while producing high-value, globally traded ingredients.
- Deliver premium, traceable ingredients that help B2B brands meet rising consumer and regulatory demands for organic, allergen-free, sustainable sourcing.
Our Aims
- Broaden the Sacha Inchi portfolio — developing both food and non-food applications of the crop, including cosmetic and skin care formulations, so that more of each harvest reaches a higher-value end use.
- Expand into new markets — extending our manufacturing and distribution footprint beyond Southeast Asia to serve brand partners in additional countries.
- Keep the value at origin — processing rather than simply exporting raw seed, so the margin from cold-pressing, roasting and encapsulation stays in the regions that grow the crop.
Our Story — The Development
Asia Eco Farm's history runs from the first trial plots in Northern Laos to a multi-country group with its own cold-press facility, marketing arms and formulation company.
Sacha Inchi oil was awarded the gold medal for excellent organoleptic qualities at the “World Edible Oils” competition in Paris — one of the first international recognitions of the crop as a premium edible oil rather than a regional curiosity.
Sacha Inchi oil won the Médaille d’Or (Gold Medal) at the AVPA Specialty Foods & Commodities competition, consolidating the crop’s reputation among European specialty food buyers.
Sacha Inchi was introduced and planted for the first time in the mountainous region of Northern Laos — the starting point of everything that followed.
Trial planting was carried out across seven sites in different divisions to identify the most suitable climate, soil and harvesting conditions. Three provinces were selected for expansion and remain our growing regions today: Champasak in the south, Vientiane in the centre, and Luang Prabang in the north.
Asia Eco Farm was established in Laos. We signed cultivation agreements with farmers in the mountainous areas, trained local cadres, and provided technical instruction, seedling raising and planting management — along with fencing, loans and funding for low-income farming families, so that they could take part in planting and harvesting without carrying the start-up cost themselves.
The programme was designed to stabilise farmer welfare and income over the long term. Participating households reported income around five times higher than they had expected from the same land.
In the same year we set up a small factory for cold-pressing and roasting Sacha Inchi nuts, using German cold-press technology and filtration equipment — making us the first Sacha Inchi oil and nut manufacturer in the region. Oil from that first production was sent to SGS laboratories in Germany for testing and certification; the results showed an Omega-3, 6 and 9 fatty acid profile comparable to Sacha Inchi native to Peru. Our roasting method also improved the taste and nutritional profile of the nuts.
More farmers joined to support large-scale planting, and the original small plots expanded to 450 hectares of cultivation.
We exhibited through the China Enterprises Association and at THAIFEX – World of Food Asia, drawing our first serious interest from the edible oil and health food industries. To accelerate entry into international markets, we formed a strategic alliance with a Thailand-based manufacturer to work towards international standard certifications — which led to our first OEM Sacha Inchi products and our first international recognition as a supplier.
Eco Vision Sdn Bhd was established in Malaysia as the group’s marketing arm, promoting Sacha Inchi products to customers outside the growing regions.
Asia Eco Farm Marketing Pte Ltd was incorporated in Singapore to take on the group’s marketing function, placing our commercial team in a hub with direct access to ASEAN regulatory frameworks and established export infrastructure.
Asia Eco Farm Holdings Pte Ltd was formed in Singapore to structure the group for investors and long-term growth. In the same year, Asia Eco Biotech Export Import Sole Co Ltd was established to manage farming operations in Laos.
广州藤耀生物科技有限公司 (Guangzhou Tengyao Biotechnology Co., Ltd.) was formed to develop formulated products built on Sacha Inchi ingredients. Its first breakthrough is a beauty and skin care range — the clearest expression yet of our aim to take the crop beyond food.
AEF Global Trade Sdn Bhd was also formed, taking over the role previously held by Eco Vision Sdn Bhd.

Why Southeast Asia?
The global Sacha Inchi narrative has historically been dominated by Peru, where the crop originates. Asia Eco Farm represents a fundamentally different supply chain model — one rooted in Southeast Asian geography, where the tropical growing conditions in Laos and Malaysia produce Sacha Inchi with comparable fatty acid profiles to Peruvian sources, while offering several structural advantages for B2B buyers:
- Supply chain geography: Shorter sea freight to East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania markets. Competitive lead times vs. South American supply.
- Regional regulatory familiarity: Singapore HQ provides access to ASEAN regulatory frameworks, SFA (Singapore Food Agency) oversight, and established export infrastructure.
- Market positioning: For buyers in Asia who want to highlight regional, sustainable sourcing — "Southeast Asia origin" is a genuine differentiator vs. South American commodity supply.
- Growing-region growth: Asia Pacific is the fastest-growing Sacha Inchi market globally (projected 14% CAGR 2024–2032), and local supply serves local demand more efficiently.
The Sacha Inchi Market
Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis) is one of the fastest-growing specialty ingredient categories in the global supplement industry. The market was valued at approximately USD 107–170 million in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 390 million by 2032 at a 12.6% CAGR (highest-estimate forecasts; conservative estimates put the 2034 market at USD 165 million at ~5% CAGR). The Asia Pacific region is growing at 14% CAGR — faster than the global average.
Growth is driven by converging tailwinds: rising consumer demand for plant-based Omega-3 alternatives to fish oil, the expansion of allergen-free and vegan protein categories, and increased B2B brand interest in supply chain sustainability credentials as part of ESG and clean-label strategies.
